Russian forward Rod Dyachenko scored the equalizer in injury time Thursday to give America’s D.C. United a 2-2 draw with Saprissa of Costa Rica and its first point in the CONCACAF Champions League.

Liberian-born striker Francis Doe opened the scoring for the Americans after six minutes, taking advantage of an error by Alexander Robhinson that left the ball at his feet.

Alejandro Alpizar’s header evened the score in the 79th minute and Cesar Elizondo put the hosts ahead in the 85th.

United, at the bottom of Group A, next faces Cruz Azul of Mexico. Saprissa will meet Marathon of Honduras.
