PokerStars LAPT Season Two Kicks Off in Costa Rica
October 10th, 2008 | by admin |The success of the PokerStars Latin American Poker Tour last season has prompted a return engagement this year. The Tour will begin on November third in San Jose, Costa Rica.
Last season, some of the top names in poker played in the Tour and this season does not plan to be any different. Several top players from Team PokerStars are expected to participate in the events.
“PokerStars LAPT Season One was defined by ground breaking debut success. Season Two will be defined by growth and expansion as we fully spread the tour across Latin America,” said Glenn Cademartori, President of the LAPT.
The tours success coincides with the still growing popularity of the game of poker around the world. Many new players have joined in on the game, and many more are just learning how to play. All the publicity on television has created a domino effect around the world.
“We were so overwhelmed with the success of LAPT Season One, that we wanted to come back with Season Two straight away, moving it into the high season for Latin America tourism,” said Cademartori.
